Bruma Is Open: The Ritz-Carlton's Fog-Inspired Cocktail Lounge Arrives on Nob Hill
The 80-seat lounge opened October 12 inside the hotel's landmark 1909 Neoclassical building, bringing live jazz, afternoon tea, and a liquid-nitrogen martini to 600 Stockton Street.
A new gathering spot has quietly taken shape atop Nob Hill. Bruma, the signature cocktail lounge and all-day salon at The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, opened on October 12 inside the hotel's landmarked 1909 Neoclassical building at 600 Stockton Street. The name is the Spanish word for mist — a direct nod to San Francisco's coastal fog — and the room's design draws from the parlors of Nob Hill's grand historic mansions. The 80-seat space was designed by Fettle studio and features a hand-etched mirror behind the bar, a custom mural wrapping the perimeter, and the hotel's original fireplace as a centerpiece.
